Last week A Dark Day On The Santa Fe was at the Southeast Regional, it was great to see everyone and make some new friends. A special shout out to posse 108, you guys where amazing! Over all we picked up 10 applications while we were out there. We have less than 75 spots left for Darkness Falls so if you’re thinking about shooting the Territorial match as a warm up to the International you may want to get your applications in pretty quick. The updated shoots list for both Darkness Falls and A Dark Day are posted on the website. We are already up to nine different states represented. Fillable match applications are attached. Cheatin’ Chamberlin and myself have be hard at it working on writing stages and I think we have some great ones lined up for you. All I can tell you is there will be pig pens, outhouses, a rifle reload and an all knockdown stage! We have picked up two Main Match sponsors, Bullets by Scarlett and Kitty Kloset and Emporium. Kitty told me last we that she will have plenty of green for those getting ready for the Ides of March the week after Dark Day. I am working on getting more vendors down to the range including Docsoldwest, I will keep you posted as more confirm they are coming. Speaking of the Ides of March, for those who have not heard the Ides is hosting the 2020 Florida State Championship. If you’ve got the time to hang around they are just two hours south of Ft. White. Where else can you go spend ten days, shoot five them in three different championships and 26 total stages? Don’t forget if you plan on dry camping on the range please send an email to Yadkin Hawks at rfmelt@comcast.net to make your reservation. Last year we had about 65 in attendance at the Thursday night dinner at Longhorns in Lake City. If you plan on attending this year please let me know so I can give the restaurant an accurate headcount so they can be prepared for a group of hungry cowboys and girls. Don’t shoot black powder? If you have a schedule conflict and you cannot shoot the match(s) on the normal match days we will be doing shoot through for the folks working the match.
