Want to shoot some steel? We (Copenhagen Kid & crew) will be doing some stages (steel challenge) and some two gun (pistol/shotgun). The dates are tentatively set for July 15/16 and July 29/30. Start time each day is 0900. The shoots will be at Windy Plains Drifter range, 26127 W. Lehn Rd. Medical Lake WA 99022. Shooters choice on whether you want to do steel match only or two gun or both. For steel match you have categories: Non optic pistol/rifle, optic pistol/rifle, 22 rimfire optic pistol/rifle, and 22 rimfire non optic pistol/rifle. There are many options but the sign up will cost the shooter $10.00 per gun so depending on how many different categories you want to shoot the cost will go up this is for the steel challenge. If you shoot that and the two gun there is no extra cost and if you only shoot the two gun and not the steel challenge the cost is only 20.00. All of the pistol and rifle shot in steel and/or two gun must be pistol caliber i.e. 9mm, 40 caliber, 45 ACP ect. If shoot two gun this will be pistol, shotgun and the shotgun rounds must be bird shot (no slugs, no buckshot) Steel challenge is a 5 shot string on targets with a stop plate, you get 5 runs on it and take your best 4 times. (stand and deliver) There will be 4 stages of this. Two gun will be shot as the stage directions say moving from window to door shooting the targets with the weapons as stage is written. Moving and shooting. This is open to everyone, friends you have that like to shoot this is a great way for everyone to practice with your personal carry or your competition rig. Copenhagen Kid will also be challenging anyone there to actually run their modern guns/ tactical gear on the two gun faster than he can with his old school cowboy guns that used for cowboy shoots. This will be something to see. “I challenge everyone to try to keep up with me on the two gun.” – Copenhagen Kid Bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks. We have a honey bucket on site and plenty of room for parking. These matches are not an official function of the Windy Plains Drifters CAS.
