Thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding our date change as well as website update. Fingerscrossed the website should be fully back up in a week or two. You can go out and take a look at it now and see some of the new changes http://www.fwcc.net.
With moving the match back to March we are going to change from a chili dinner on Thursday night to a pot luck dinner. The range will provide the meat and a couple of side. It will be up to you to bring the rest! Keep an eye out on upcoming emails to learn more about what’s happening with that.
We have lots of things in the works between now and March! We will keep you posted, until then, here is a run down on what you can expect.
BEST OF MATCH
We are going to pull the best stage from each of the pervious nine years, with the tenth stage being something fitting of our 10th Anniversary.
THURSDAY NIGHT POT LUCK
The range will provide the meat and a couple of sides, it is up to you to bring the rest. More details in the coming months.
TROPHY BUCKLES
We will once again have trophy buckles for Dark Day. With the date change the new catagory deadline is December 15th.
FRIDAY NIGHT DINNER
Friday night Laura Fowler Goss, Food Designer will be back with for the sixth year in a row.
SPONSORS WANTED
We have some special things in mind as we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Dark Day so we are looking for some match sponsors to help us achieve our goal. Please take a look at the attached sponsor/vendor form. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
COWBOY YARD SALE
The Cowboy Yard sale will be Wednesday from 9:00am till 4:00pm. It will be the perfect opportunity to visit with old friends and make new ones as well as getting rid of some of those things hanging around the house collecting dust.
SMOKELESS CATEGORY
We will once again be bringing back the smokeless category. Please see below for more information.
· Darkness Fall: Reduced entry fee of $35. This is for those who don’t want to shoot black powder, but want to come out and have a good time with their friends. You will receive shooter gift, name badge, shooters book, and Thursday lunch. No awards will be given.
· A Dark Day On The Santa Fe: Reduced entry fee of $55. This is for those who don’t want to shoot black powder, but want to come out and have a good time with their friends. You will receive shooter gift, name badge, shooters book, Thursday & Friday night dinner as well as Saturday lunch. No awards will be given.

I missed sending out an update last month. We have been busy on the range building a new cook/catering are and rewiring all the electrical on the range. We have several more projects on the books that we will probably have completed by the annual match.
Please dont forget about the October 31st catagory deadline. The deadline is to insure that we have all the catagories we need and that we have enough time to get the buckles odered so they arrive before the match.

The big part of our new cook/catering area is complete! We have about a days worth of work left to go still that we will have completed before the end of month most likely. We also officially have power ran to the bathrooms! Lights and fans are soon to be installed.

We have had a lot going on at the range this past month. 10 days ago we our first “No Man’s Land” a Cowgirls Only Match to which we had 38 ladies from 9 different states! We also announced “Young Guns” a youth only match that will be coming up July 23rd we already have started receiving applications for that.
There is also a new build project on the books that we are looking to start next month and will hopefully have completed by the youth match. We are looking to build a covered cook/catering are at the end of the short pavilion with lights, fans, and most likely running water!
