DECEMBER ALREADY!! WHERE DOES THE TIME GO?
Hope that everyone had a happy and safe Thanksgiving! We are starting to finalize the stages, it looks like we will have a good mix of stages. The swinger is officially back (I can hear the groans from here) and has been moved to a new stage. We have a new plate rack to throw into the mix. A new grill to cook lunch on for Thursday and a couple of outdoor heaters to help deal with the cold mornings and chilly nights a dinner.
CATEGORIES
There have been some questions about what categories made I into the matches, below is the official category list.
BUCKLES
The buckles are in production. When I checked on then this morning they are 60% complete.
DINNERS
In addition to hotdogs and hamburgers as the conclusion Darkness Falls, Rocky Creek Shooter and Bucky Buckskin thought that the chili dinner went over so well that they want to do it again! So, Thursday night we will have chili on the range.
Friday night Laura Fowler Goss, Food Designer will be back with for the fifth year in a row. And I am pleased to announce that Cowboyz BBQ & Catering will be providing lunch for us on Saturday!
RAFFLE
Florida Gun Doc has donated a bottle of bourbon and some other swag to be raffled off at Dark Day. All proceeds will go towards the Florida Youth Fund. We will keep you post with more information about the raffle when more information is available.
VENDORS
Bullets By Scarlett, J & J Targets and Bullets by Chance have all confirmed that they will be coming. I have been in talks with B & S Gun Carts, there is a possibility that they will be down as well.
COWBOY YARD SALE
The Cowboy Yard sale will be Wednesday from 9:00am till 4:00pm. Please find a table to display your wares and attend your table all day. We do not have anyone available to do that for you. It will be the perfect opportunity to visit with old friends and make new ones. Please be sure to take any unsold items with you. We will not be responsible for anything left behind.

Darkness Fall: Reduced entry fee of $35. This is for those who don’t want to shoot black powder, but want to come out and have a good time with their friends. You will receive shooter gift, name badge, shooters book, and Thursday lunch. No awards will be given.
A Dark Day On The Santa Fe: Reduced entry fee of $55. This is for those who don’t want to shoot black powder, but want to come out and have a good time with their friends. You will receive shooter gift, name badge, shooters book, Thursday & Friday night dinner as well as Saturday lunch. No awards will be given.
Currently there is no option for Smokeless on the applications, please just write it in when you submit your application.
BRASS RATS
The Rafter Cross Cowboy Church youth group joined us this past Saturday for the annual match to help pick up brass. They did such a fantastic job that we have invited them back for Darkness Falls and Dark Day. Please be sure to bring a little extra cash to help support their youth fund!

The waterline has been run, most of the range clean up been completed and the back of bay 3 has been opened up. And man, did we gain a lot more real estate! So what's next on the agenda? (flips through notes) Oh yes, here it is. Build bathrooms. That right we are going build bathroom down towards bay 9 & 10. We will start on that project a week from today and we should be finished up with it by the end of the month.

This is coming out half a day early! We have a early morning workday tomorrow to run a water line from one side of the range to the other. The plan is to have a sink on both sides of the range as well as a spigot by the pavilions. We are also going to open up the back of bay 3 and some other range cleanup/maintenance.

I did get to sit down and get everyone in the system this morning. I will be posing the updated shooters list momentarily, it is also attached. We have been working hard on cleaning up the range. The new target test last month went great so it looks like you will be seeing a new plate rack in January. We also just placed an order for some new targets that should be in by the end of month. Could we see the beginning of the Ft. White Chickens?? I guess you will just have to wait and find out.

We have been hard at work with range improvements with several more on the books to have done by the end of the year. We will be testing out some new targets this month that we hope to include in January.
