View MoreFort Report – September 2021 39 shooters joined us last Saturday out at The Fort for our September Monthly Match. The weather was very pleasant with the typical humidity but overcast skies and breezes. Combined with the LT and ULT fans on every stage and the covered stages, it was a very nice day for a cowboy match at Fort White Gun Club. Rocky Creek Shooter and Sure Shot Shawanda wrote a very balanced, fun, and challenging match. We could not have asked for more. There were fast and close stages, rifle and pistol knockdowns, swinging targets, downrange movement, single taps, and so much more. You missed a fun day if you didn’t join us. We welcomed a first-time buckaroo, Noah Boatwright, grandson of one our longtime regulars, Bisley. He improved with each stage, and we hope to see him back again next month. We had another first time shooter, a buckarette that goes by the alias Oakley Rose, daughter of Bucky Buckskin and Tilly Two Spurs. We are happy to see that the Fort White Family continues to grow. We had 6 shooters with Clean Matches: Monty Drew, Macinaw, Lead Paint, Midwest Hale, Delta Glen, and Big Country. A Dagnabbit to Yadkin Hawks, Marshal Leadready, Rio Drifter, Bisley, Marshal Dan Troop, Kid Romeo, and Bucky Buckskin. Congratulations to our Top Lady Midwest Hale and our September Top Gun was Christian Mortician. The Top 5 was rounded out by Bucky Buckskin, Big Country, Delta Glen, and Midwest Hale, respectively. The Top 5 Ladies were completed by Chickie Winsome, Sure Shot Shawanda, Tilly Two Spurs, and Silver Willow. Side matches Friday with the 8-stage main match on Saturday. The main match will feature the Roughshod Raiders winning stage from the 2021 Spaghetti Western. The Shootout is limited to the first 120 shooters. So join us as we ride along with the Magnificent 7 as they take on Bartholomew Bogue.
